First Ice
Early this morning, I noticed a thin layer of ice spreading out most of the shoreline...my first sign of winter. I have mixed feelings about the winter here. Not only I haven't been exposed to it in 5 years, it is new life on the boat as well. The heat is running well inside the cabin, and I have all of the comfort of a house. I feel like I haven't sacraficed anything by living on-board, but it is still an adventure!

Wow! I wonder how thick the ice will get this winter. It looks cold but beautiful!!!

ReplyDeleteWell, it is probably time that the marina gets out the bubbler to keep the ice away. Just a little skim ice around the boat, as the three thru-hull ports for the reverse cycle units keep the water agitated.
ReplyDeleteOh--BTW, in regards to Pammy's question about could you live without a dishwasher, I feel compelled to let you know, she actually has one. His name is Tom........
